FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS
Ahaan!! Festivities!! Its the time of the biggest festival of the year!! I wish all my readers a very happy and prosperous Diwali in advance!! This year our Diwali is quite different from the previous years. For the first time, we are away from home at another home!! Yes, we are going to be at my in-laws place. This is our daughter's first Diwali and it deserves to be every bit special!!
For me every festival whether Durga Puja or Diwali means fun...elaborate meals and gifts. But for my husband its means rituals and Idol worship. So usually we divide the festival day in two parts. With my parents its shopping for gifts, eating delicious spreads and going out. For the rituals part, hubby makes sure that I follow strictly. Being an ardent traveller, I can spend everyday exploring. But when it comes to festive time, I always love celebrating at the comfort of my own home. There's nothing more enlightening like #gharwalidiwali!
This year too like every year we have put lights every where. Its raining candles and twinkling lights. As far as bursting crackers go, I am not a big fan. I like sparklers but the noise pollution is a big no no for me. As we are ringing festivities with the whole family, here are some pictures of a little pre Diwali celebration which we had in the city. Once again have a prosperous and safe Diwali!!
