It was a bright afternoon in Patong, Phuket. We
had returned from the city tour in the day and after rejuvenating
ourselves in our hotel rooftop jacuzzi, it was time we fed ourselves. In
the midst of all the excitement : city tour, shopping, swimming, we had
forgotten to have lunch!! And we were really hungry!! Not wanting to
eat in the hotel restaurant (I am always game for crazy experimentation)
, we set out to hunt veggie food in the city...for my hubby of course
:) which was almost impossible in a place like phuket!!
Patong is a very vibrant and colourful city. Bustling with foreigners, you will never feel new there!! Here is a pictorial description of the sequence of events that took place that evening!!
couldnot believe one more day of our amazing vacation was over!!
TRAVEL TIP:
1.Carry ready to eat meals if you are a vegetarian. Indian food is really difficult to find!!
2. Ditch those heels and embrace flats if you want to explore!!
3. The beach area gets pretty deserted at night with only drunkyards hanging out. Its better to be safe than sorry especially when abroad.
I wore:
shorts: forever21
top:forever21
sunnies: aldo
cape: pantaloons
sandals:miss jo
purse: charles and keith

I didnot wear anything deliberately but I seem to merge with the surroundings!! |
camouflage effect!! this is a foodcourt but not of our taste!! |
terrified by hunger pangs, I decided to have chicken shwarma before I found something else!! |
after wandering in the streets for over an hour, hubby finally found veg Indian food!! It was horribly expensive; rice and paneer 1000INR!! |
sorry for my crazy face but I am always fascinated by sea food!! |
my love for ray continues to grow... |
stomachs full, we reach the patong beach after half an hour of walking. The beach was deserted as the sun had gone down. We saw a long pier and decided to strut through it!! |
my strutting continues...the pier is my ramp :D |
then I climbed to a long tail boat harboured nearby... |
an interesting thai architecture I found!! |
we could hardly realise it was dinner time!! and the miles of walking did good to our appetite!! I settled for my favourite phad thai. |

ReplyDeletetotally agree with u on Indian food part, its trash n expensive. We even had a fight with one of the restaurant owner for serving us trashy meal at four times the cost. Oh, and I didn't spot that pier at Patong . U look lovely with all the posing ...
